Objectives


The core objective is to develop a thorough understanding of the theory and best practice relating to Food and Drink regulatory structures and procedures, along with the skills to act autonomously in the effective application and interpretation of regulations to your business.

Content includes

Lectures take place online on Monday (lunchtime) and Tuesday (evening) covering the following content:
  • Framework of food regulations
  • Food processing regulations
  • Claims and labelling
  • Supply chain integrity
  • Current and future macro trends and impact on regulations
  • Farm to fork - how legislation interacts
  • Managing regulatory divergence
  • Food safety including contaminants, pesticides, food contact materials
  • Research

Who should attend

Employees in the Food and Drink sector, working in technical areas such as quality, food safety, regulatory affairs or R&D, who need to be able to interpret regulations and understand their implications to their business. Participants may have a variety of backgrounds, including food science, food engineering, home economics, microbiology, however, many have not had any formal training in food regulations.
